Modern Man in Search of a Soul / Carl G Jung

The following is from the writings of Carl Jung.
I said just now that we have no schools for forty-year-olds. That is not quite true. Our religions were always such schools in the past, but how many people regard them as such today? How many of us older persons have really been brought up in such a school and prepared for the second half of life, for old age, death and eternity?
If you are in the afternoon of your life these words are worth considering, and being mindful of.

The Parish of Salvage have completed a mission review and struggling with why we don't have more in our pews. Jung doesn't tackle the pew problem, but he does point the Church to an area where we can meet the needs of individuals who are forty and above.
