Neil McBride wrote How to Lead Small Groups in the early 1990's. A small number of us have been working through this book and considering leading small group Bible Study groups. We've read and considered two chapters of this book. In the new year we will continue with our reading and study. All to support the ministry and spiritual needs of the Parish.

Josh 24:1-3a, 14-25 – PS 78:1-7 – 1 Thess 4:13-18 – Matt 25:1-13
Intro to the Readings
From the Prophet Joshua we list as the Israelites salvation from Egypt is summarized and the people are asked whom they will serve? Will they serve the gods of the world, which are not gods at all, or will they serve the Lord God of Hosts?
Psalm 78 recalls the covenant made with our ancestors and the promise God has made to our unborn children and grand-children.
The Apostle writing to the Thessalonians speaks of the promise that is our in Christ.
The Gospel is about those who required some oil for their journey, but forgot to go to the gas bar to fill up, the Gospel is about the wise and the foolish.
Let us listen and increase in wisdom that we may wisely acknowledge, and choose the Lord of Hosts as the true God of our hearts.
