Introduction - Advent 2 - B - 20111204

Isa 40:1-11 – PS 85:1-2, 8-13 – 2 Pet 3:8-15a – Mark 1:1-8
Intro to the Readings
The Prophet Isaiah speaks of comfort for God’s people, and preparing the “way of the Lord.”
Psalm 85 proclaims that God’s salvation is drawing near – simply put – prepare a way for God in your life.
Saint Peter writes about our time and God’s time. He writes about the “coming of the day of God,” and encourages us to wait patiently.
From Saint Mark’s Gospel we listen as the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled in Christ Jesus.

Let us listen and prepare a way for our God and Saviour in our hearts and lives.
