Introduction - Thanksgiving - 2011 October 9

Deut 8:7-18PS 65 – 2 Cor 9:6-15 – Lk 17:11-19
Intro to the Readings
As we listen to God’s word today we ought to be a grateful people.
For the freedom that is ours’.
That we can freely vote for the individual we choose.
The reading from Deuteronomy speaks about the land God is bringing you to.
The Psalm speaks about those whom God draws to the heavenly courts.
To the Corinthians the Apostle Paul speaks about those who sow generously – to those who sow generously, not begrudgingly.
If you miss it the Gospel reading is about tithing, after all it is the season of thanksgiving.

Let us give to Lord God generously not begrudgingly.
