Introduction to the Readings - Easter 3

Acts 2:14a, 36-41Psalm 116:1-3, 10-171 Peter 1:17-23Luke24:13-35
Intro to the Readings
First we listen to a reading from the Acts of the Apostles. Peter proclaims a promise to the people and for their children.
Psalm 116 is a personal song of thanksgiving. It speaks of love and the cup of salvation.
We listen as Saint Peter, who spoke in the first reading writes in the second reading, he writes to those whose souls have been purified.
We listen to the Gospel of Saint Luke as the Lord Jesus takes a walk with two disciples and as they share a loaf of bread together.
May we hear God’s word for us, and our children, and may we share God’s bread with one another.
May we receive the promise of God, for ourselves, and for our children. And may we be nourished by the bread of God.
