Introduction to the Readings - Epiphany Last - 20110306

Ex 24:12-18 – PS 2 – 2 Pet 1:16-21 – Matt 17:1-9
Intro to the Readings

From Exodus we listen as God calls Moses to a mountain, where Moses will be given the Law and the Commandments.
Psalm 2 asks “Why are the nations in an uproar?” Why are Tunisai, Egypt, Lybia in an uproar? This Psalm is a call for justice for all people.
In 2 Peter we hear that God affirms “This is my Son, My Beloved, with whom I am well pleased.” God is well pleased because through the Beloved justice for all will be realized.
Matthew 17 is an account of the Transfiguration.

Listen and be transfigured
