Introduction to the Readings - Proper 30 / Oct 23-29

Joel 2:23-32 – Psa 65 – 2 Tim 4:6-8, 16-18 – Lk 18:9-14
Intro to the Readings

Listen to an ancient reading that God shall pour out the Spirit even upon the male and female slaves.
Psalm 65 is a communal song of thanksgiving. Listen to the delight in the Psalm and be drawn yourself into God’s court.
The Apostle Paul writes to Timothy about being poured out like a libation, and as one who has fought the good fight.
The Gospel speaks to those who are righteousness in themselves, listen and be mindful when you are righteousness in yourself!
Let us listen to the Spirit speaking and receive the righteousness of God.
