Intro to the Readings
From the prophet Isaiah we hear a warning – a call to all who for sake and take fore-granted the promises of Yahweh.
Psalm 50 is all about renewal and re-establishing the Covenant. And it is Yahweh who will come – re-establish – and not be silent.
The reading from Hebrews is all about the hope of the Covenant realized by Abraham by faith – and is our by faith.
From St Luke’s Gospel we are reminded to not be afraid, but also to be ready for the unexpected hour – the hour the Son of Man will return.

Let us hear anew the call to repentance through Isaiah.
Let the Covenant be re-established in your heart.
Realize the faith that brings the Covenant home to your heart.
Be prepared – dressed and ready for the coming of the Son of Man – at an unexpected hour.
