Readings - Introduction - Easter 7

Acts 16:16-34 – Psalm 97Revelation 22:12-14, 16-17, 20-21 – John 17:20-26

Intro to the Readings

Have you ever been annoyed and worked a miracle. Listen then what the Apostle Paul is about. After a miracle which annoyed others Paul and Silas are jailed. And one asks “what must I do to be saved?”

Psalm 97 declares that the Lord is King over all the earth. We are encouraged to rejoice and to be truthful in our hearts.

The reading from Revelation is the final chapter, in once sense the end of the story. In another sense this is where we begin as Christ-like ones.

The Gospel we will hear, from John 17, is part of Christ’s high priestly prayer. Listen as Christ prays for you – that you may be with him – that the love the Father and Son share may also be in you.

Let us listen as the Book of Life is opened, as we open our hearts that we may be filled with the love of Christ – that we may be in Christ Jesus.
